How to use stepping motor

Pay attention to the following points during the application of the motor:

1. The stepper motor is used in low-speed occasions-the speed does not exceed 1000 rev. per minute, and it is best to use between 150-450RPM. It can be used within this range by a deceleration device. The motor has high working efficiency and low noise working within this range.

2. The stepping motor does not use the full-step state, and the vibration is large in the full-step state.

3. Due to history reasons, only the motor with the nominal 12V voltage uses 12V. The voltage value of other motors is not the driving voltage value that the driving voltage can be selected according to the driver (recommendation: 42 motors use DC 12V-24V, 57 motors use DC (24-36V) . Of course, other driving power can also be used for 12V except for 12V constant voltage drive, but temperature rise must be considered.

4. For loads with large moments of inertia, a large frame size motor should be selected.

5. When the motor is under a relatively high speed or large inertia load, it generally does not start at operating speed, but uses a gradual frequency increase to increase the speed. First, the motor does not lose step, and secondly, it can reduce noise and improve the positioning accuracy of stop.

6. For high precision, it should be solved by mechanical deceleration, increasing the motor speed, or using a driver with a high subdivision number.

7. The motor should not work in the vibration zone. If necessary, it can be solved by changing the voltage, current or adding some damping.

8. When the motor works below 90RPM, it should be driven by small current, large inductance, and low voltage. 9. The principle of selecting the motor first and then selecting the drive should be followed, and the stepper motor drive voltage range covers a wide range.
